Jiangsu Provincial Key Logistics Research Base was established by Jiangsu Provincial Government on May 6, 2011, and is under the leadership of Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Informatization Commission. Affiliated with the School of Engineering Management of Nanjing University, the base relies on the strong research force of the university, and Professor Zhou Yuejin serves as the current director of the base.

The main tasks of the base are as follows: devoting to the research and application promotion of innovative theoretical methods and key technologies of modern logistics and supply chain management; analyzing and researching the issues related to the development of logistics industry in Jiangsu Province; providing high-end logistics planning, design and consulting services for government policy making and enterprise management decisions; providing professional training for future practitioners; organizing various forms of logistics exchange activities; publishing logistics-related publications; and undertaking research on projects related to Jiangsu Province government and logistics enterprises.

The establishment of Jiangsu Key Logistics Research Base once again shows the leading position of Nanjing University’s logistics discipline in Jiangsu Province and will further promote the construction of the university’s logistics discipline and provide a new platform for the university to serve society and local economic construction.
