As one in the first batch of “Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Think Tanks,” Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Finance Think Tank was established in 2012 based on the School of Management and Engineering of Nanjing University. In recent years, with the support of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department, it has undertaken the formulation and promotion of Jiangsu provincial scientific and technological finance plan during the 12th and 13th Five-Year Plan periods and participated in the formulation of the financial plan of Nanjing. It has thus provided strategically forward-looking and operational policy recommendations for the construction of a new scientific and technological finance system in Jiangsu Province and Nanjing and achieved excellent social benefits for them. At the same time, it has published the treatise Theory and Practice of Scientific and Technological Finance, which systematically summarizes the existing scientific and technological finance practices in theory and prospectively puts forward the focus of future research and exploration of scientific and technological finance in China.
